Lord of the Rings

Let me start start out by saying tha tI have read all of the books and even some other books about Middle Earth.  I went to a Lord of the Rings movie marathon a while back.   It was on a saturday night and I had church in the morning.  I was at a wedding reception before it so I missed the first movie (just barely made it in for the credits).  I had purchased 6 concentrated shots of caffine inbetween the movie and the wedding reception, so that I wouldn't fall asleep.  I had three or four of the caffine shots during the two movies and didn't fall asleep.  The last movie didn't get over until around 6:00, 6:15.  I had church in four hours.  What to do what to do...  Walk home with no shoes on!  Excellent idea.  Just under a mile, no big deal.  Hmmm, then what?  Then I took a shower!  Awesome, I was awake still.  Then what to do?  Then I went on a two-mile jog.  In the rain.  With no shoes on.  Still.  I suppose I like not wearing shoes quite a bit, but that was a bit... silly...   I got home, watched the Benny Hill show for two hours and then went to church.  Didn't fall asleep until about 10:30 because me mum made me clean my room.

Today I watched the Fellowship of the Ring (extended edition) and the Two Towers.  It was getting too late to start the last one (I have to be awake in less than seven hours).  And I love Elves.  Always have, always will.  Not really a big fan of Christmas elves or anything like that, they remind me of pixies, which are malicious creepy little buggers.  When I was a bit younger I tried taping my ears so that I appeared to be Elven, in the hopes that they would just stay like that if I kept the tape on them long enough.  Sadly enough that plan did not work out.

  1. YEah, extended edition of lotr is much better :) I prefer now to watch Lord of the Rings in the original (with subtitles), because russian dub makes me sick :D Some months ago I bought all three lotr books in english, in shop with foreign books :) But sometimes it's hard to understand some clauses, and I begin to search not "daily" words for me in my vocabulary

  2. I would love to buy a hard cover copy of all three of the books one day, hopefully the one that has a map included in it. And other J.R.R. Tolkein books wouldn't hurt, either. I just think it's cool that you can read the books at all, I can barely read childrens books in Spanish, and that's pushing it. I have seen a few russian dubbed English movies and it drove me insane too, totally understand what you mean!
