Late Night Sleeping Habbits--Also, The Sun Is Too Bright

I have slept outside for two nights in a row, and tonight will make it three.  It is quite an adventure, really.  The first night I slept in a hammock and woke up a few times because it was inordinately cold and I kept tilting the hammock whenever I would make the slightest movement.  Last night I slept on some patio furniture cushions (my mother dearest required me to do so due to the moisture correlated with the morning (morning dew).  Oh, and a sleeping bag with my pillow.  The first night it took me over two hours to fall asleep but the second night it took me less than thirty minutes.  The sun woke me up at 7:23-ish (that is when I first checked the time)  and I thought that it was some form of deceit.  Then I thought that it was the eye of Sauron...   I was, as Foreigner sang, blinded by the light.

I have another follower.  I am in awe of my followers.  They make me happy.  I say this out of love, not to scare you wonderful people away.  Just thought that I would mention how much I appreciate you all!

Last night it ended up getting too warm and I had to take off my socks and get a drink of water.  I am hoping that tonight it is between the other two nights.

A Quick Reminder

You guys gotta check out the Song of the Day.  It's there for a reason.  Just a little reminder!
I got contacts a few weeks ago and I have been trying to wear them lately.  They get blurry the later in the day it is.  Right now I'm trying to watch soccer and the left contact is getting fuzzy.  I love having a follower, I really do.  Sorry if I'm being creepy about it, but I really love it.  It makes me so happy!  Oh, and Erin:  you better be reading this, because you said that you would check.  I hope you had a good vacation!
Who all is having a good week so far?  Tell me what the best part has been!

I Made Some Money This Week

My aunts have a hair salon in town.  A guy that was directing a Starbucks-themed documentary about the town was shooting part of the documentary at that salon.  I came to watch.  What ended up happening was much, much more exciting.  I got to be in the documentary.  I had to wear a ridiculous red wig.  I was also wearing my Pokémon shirt, but I had to hold the coffee in front of Pikachu so that Starbucks didn't freak out about a brand being in the video.  I will be mailed an acting cheque.  I can say that I am a paid actor.  This is awesome.  I wonder how much money I made...

Lord of the Rings

Let me start start out by saying tha tI have read all of the books and even some other books about Middle Earth.  I went to a Lord of the Rings movie marathon a while back.   It was on a saturday night and I had church in the morning.  I was at a wedding reception before it so I missed the first movie (just barely made it in for the credits).  I had purchased 6 concentrated shots of caffine inbetween the movie and the wedding reception, so that I wouldn't fall asleep.  I had three or four of the caffine shots during the two movies and didn't fall asleep.  The last movie didn't get over until around 6:00, 6:15.  I had church in four hours.  What to do what to do...  Walk home with no shoes on!  Excellent idea.  Just under a mile, no big deal.  Hmmm, then what?  Then I took a shower!  Awesome, I was awake still.  Then what to do?  Then I went on a two-mile jog.  In the rain.  With no shoes on.  Still.  I suppose I like not wearing shoes quite a bit, but that was a bit... silly...   I got home, watched the Benny Hill show for two hours and then went to church.  Didn't fall asleep until about 10:30 because me mum made me clean my room.

Today I watched the Fellowship of the Ring (extended edition) and the Two Towers.  It was getting too late to start the last one (I have to be awake in less than seven hours).  And I love Elves.  Always have, always will.  Not really a big fan of Christmas elves or anything like that, they remind me of pixies, which are malicious creepy little buggers.  When I was a bit younger I tried taping my ears so that I appeared to be Elven, in the hopes that they would just stay like that if I kept the tape on them long enough.  Sadly enough that plan did not work out.

I Got A Kitten

I named her Alice.  After Alice Cooper, of course.  She is tiny and awesome.  One day after I had worn what I wore to soccer all day, I decided it was time to finally take my sweatpants and smelly shirt off.  As soon as I took off my shirt (I was sitting on my bed for some reason), the kitten decided that it was time to scale my back.  What the hell, cat?!  She ran up my back and left little bleeding HOLES in my back.  They came in pairs of two to four.

Le Kitty

The only time I can take a picture of her is when she is asleep.  She usually runs around and won't sit still long enough for a good picture, so I took what I could get.  My parents don't know that I named her after Alice Cooper.  They think it's from Alice in Wonderland.  What they don't know usually doesn't hurt them...

I feed her dry cat food mixed with a little bit of hot water (that sits until it is absorbed a bit) and then some wet kitten food mixed.  She won't eat it unless you pick her up and put her right in front of it.

She sleeps in my room, under my bed.  I can't wait for her get too big for underneath my bed..  I have to use a flashlight to find her, even though she's usually in the same spot.

On a completely different note, having a follower has really boosted my morale.   Especially when he comments.  So, Konstantin, this one is for you!
p.s. I love the Lord of the Rings.

Hyperbole and a Half: Thing of the Day: Uterus. Rating: NOT AWESOME

Hyperbole and a Half: Thing of the Day: Uterus. Rating: NOT AWESOME

I love Allie and her blog. She has made me sad, lately. She has only written four posts this year since January and I have already read every single post. Now what do I do? She is one of my idols and now she is done writing a lot of posts. I'm even ordering an Alot shirt! I sound like a needy girlfriend... But in all seriousness, I really enjoy her posts. I love her old posts a lot. Her new ones, too. I'm sad that she hasn't written in months.

Merrie Melodies

Older cartoons are the best.  Seriously, if they did half of the stuff in newer cartoons that they did in, say for example, Tom and Jerry, they would get either sued or kicked off air.  In older cartoons they drank and smoked.  Bug Bunny would wear womens clothing!  The networks would freak out if they did that.
Another thing is that the cartoons are a lot more strange now.  Chowder?  Weirdest show ever.  What is he?  And that guy that can't speak, again, what is he?  In the older cartoons, you knew whata you were dealing with.  They even had orchastras for the sound.
What the hell is that?

Obviously a cat and mouse.  Anyone could see that.

Unlike fine wine, not all things get better with age.  Music, cartoons, debt, and many more, all things that have gotten progressively worse as time has gone on.  At least we can still watch the old shows and listen to the good music.
