I CUT MYSELF: Warning! Pictures

On my bike.  I was less than half a block away from my house.  I had left to go to an elementary school to play on the field with my somewhat new soccer cleats and my ball.  Get a little practice in, get used to them, things like that.  Instead, I ended up at the hospital.

I didn't think that I needed stitches, the cut was like two inches long.  Not a big deal.  It was about half of an inch deep.  Alright, cool, it's not really bleeding that bad.  My mother had a different idea.

I was riding my bike in the rain uphill.  My leg hit the gear shift (older bike, the gear shifters are within leg range) and my treadless, soaking wet shoes slipped.  I fell with my legs on either side of the top tube and coasted for about a yard.  I didn't feel hurt, but my leg felt like it had been scratched.  I decided that getting my bike off of the ground was more important that checking my leg out, so after I got my bike up I looked at my leg.

There are two of these bad boys on my bike.  The previous owner used them to keep the water bottle holder on.
I put the cut leg (my right leg) on the left pedal of my bike and coasted down to my house to tell my mom that I wasn't going to play soccer any more.  I had started shaking at that point and I could feel massive ammounts of adrenaline going through me.  When we got into the car to go to the hospital I really wanted water for some reason.. I drank some and things were starting to go dark.   I had not lost a lot of blood and I was not in pain.  No idea why I almost passed out a few times.

Like I said, I was not in pain.  Not until I got injected with lidocaine.  That was the worst pain.  My doctor injected the area around my two cuts with it in multiple places and it burned.
It turned the area around my cuts white (as seen above).
I got four stitches on the outside and more that four on the inside of the cut.

I wasn't allowed to get it wet for 24 hours, so after that ammount of time I took a shower and took the bandage off.
There it is.  And that's what I did over the weekend.

Hyperbole and a Half, Allie Posted Again

My heart fluttered and my stomache dropped when I saw that she posted again.  She made me really... aware.  Very sad.  Melancholia is such a sad thing.  I was so sad that she was sad.  She got herself out of it, though.  I am glad for that part, but not happy that she was in that state of mind to begin with.

I Got New Tools

I got a set of wood carving knives.  I have been practicing using them on a rough piece of wood.  When I can use them well enough I am going to get some green alder and make the wedding "gift" that I have been planning for ages.  It has been drawn out and all that I needed was a small wood chisel.  A very wonderful man that I asked said that he did know of one I could borrow but he never got back to me.  I called again and left a message and he told me that he'd call me Monday (this was on a Friday or Saturday).  He called and he brought me not one wood carving device, but twelve.  He also told me that they were mine to keep.  Excellent, sir Rich, most excellent.  I haven't cut myself yet.  So far, so good.  I will post pictures when I get the green alder of my "project."

I Have Missed School

I came down with a cold-type illness over the weekend.  I had to miss two days of school and I have fallen terribly behind.  Oh, and my mother received a report card of mine while I was away... I have two F's, therefore I am grounded.  No electronic devices...
Electronic device:  A device depending on the principles of electronics and using the manipulation of electron flow for its operation.  The free online dictionary gave me this definition.
What is a computer if not an electronic device?
I also have my two Nintendo DS's, a Game Boy Color, the computers at school (although they are extremely monitored and have many sites blocked, I have found ways to read Rage comics and play Robot Unicorn Attack.  Excellent!  This is fantastic.  I have two boom boxes, my record player, three mp3 players (two iPods, one mp3 player that I won at a picnic), a CD player that is battery-operated and headphone-requiring, and two radios.
I think she has given up actually taking things away, however she does enforce the rules when she sees me using said items.

I feel badly that I am a disobedient child, but at the same time... it's awesome getting my stuff still... I have mixed emotions about this.

Keep checking out the song of the day!

Youtube

I want to put a video on Youtube.  I have three subscribers and I feel that I have let them down.  I recently got subscribed to by a man who is an excellent guitar player.  He did so because I left a kind comment on a video of his and subscribed to him.

What to play....

A Guns n Roses song?
Hmmm, all that I can play right now is Sweet Child o Mine.  Sounds really lame without my effects peddal and it's a long song.  Mostly chords and a few awesome solos.

Siciliano!  It's about... thirty seconds and extremely simple.

Lord of the Rings Rage Comic

Alright, so this is a bit on the... shitty side.
The guy in the first and last box is Sauramon, by the way.  Couldn't really make white hair, soo... this is it.  It's really small but I can't make it larger at this point in time.
