Preschool

I was an odd child.  I loved wearing dresses.  I did, however, wear pants as well.  I also used to wet said pants.  It only happened a few times, but still...  At least I never wet the bed.  I would get into trouble with my 'teachers.'  They were not the nicest ladies.  There were two teachers.  The bathrooms there made me uncomfortable.  One 'teacher' was nice and the other one was not so nice.  It was kind of like a good-cop-bad-cop thing, only with preschool teachers.  If only I had learned the skill of not being uncomfortable...  I guess I'm still like that a bit.  Hah.  Being awkward is a recent thing for me, more or less.  I didn;t used to be as awkward.  One would even say I was overly outgoing.  One can also change a lot in three months...  I'm not sure when it all started, but now I have a wee bit of trouble asking questions when I am confused about something or if I think the person is super cool.  Or both...  That makes things much more difficult.
Like this snail.  This snail even posed for this picture.  He has great potential.

Song of the Day

Spaced by Aerosmith.  I have to say, Get Your Wings is probably my favorite album of theirs.  I finally got the CD for Christmas 2011 from my brother.  Listen to it and love it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIYb7KKfNQU

Hey Now by the Talking Heads.  I'll probably put more of them on here than any other band (except for perhaps Aerosmith).  I haven't really heard this song before.  Hancock loaned me a few of their CDs (at my request) so that I could expand my Talking Heads musical interests and knowledge.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XG9qDl0EEtI

Layla by Derek and the Dominos.  Great song.  Long story behind it, I'll put it up soon.
I spent hours trying to find this song.  I heard the ending piano bit in the middle of the night and I emailed 92.9 KISM right away the next day trying to figure out what songs they played between 1:00 and 4:00 AM.  No such luck, however about a week later I heard the opening guitar riff on a different radio station around 11:30 at night.  I froze and my heart started beating faster and I just knew that it was the song that I had heard and was trying so fervently to find.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Th3ycKQV_4k

Flirtin' With Disaster by molly Hatchet.  I spend half an hour trying to find this song.  The only lyrics that I could remember were "and it makes no sense to me."  They sounded somewhat similar to Lynyrd Skynyrd. I spent a lot of time trying to find this song, so love it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhhtRxqSrys

Ulysses by Franz Ferdinand.  I used to really dig this song.  It's been a while since I heard it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5CTu5RylCM&ob=av2e

Man on the Silver Mountain by Rainbow.  RIP RJD.  Stomach cancer is a bitch.  It was a huge loss for the metal community.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9nfVrusSMg

Tight Pants/Body Rolls.... I don't know, it's just... fun..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1c2KzJbcGA

Maggie May by Rod Stewart.  Beautiful song that I really love.  I could listen to it all day... which I have done before.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T5hYlUsQ0s

I'm Shipping up to Boston by the Dropkick Murphys.  I listen to this song with my friends mom a lot of the time that I go to their house.  She really likes it and so do I.... so we listen to it together.  She liked calling me into the computer room and pulling it up on the net.  Great song.  Great band.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-64CaD8GXw

Our Lips are Sealed by the Go-Go's.  Cool song, and the video really shows how differently people "hang out" in this day and age.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3kQlzOi27M

Nobody's Hero by Rush.  There is much more Rush to come, I love Rush.  I missed one of their last concerts in Washington because my father decided that he would rather go camping that meet Rush.  Yes, we had the chance to meet them for free.  Backstage opportunity.  Denied for camping.  Which wasn't even real camping!  I had my own tent and slept in it with my bicycle parked inside and my parents slept (and lived pretty much) in a small camping trailer.  I rode my bicycle around in the sunshine and played in the lake and try to catch the GIANT fish with my hands and they played cards in the trailer.  I could go on and on.  I agree with the quote below and love that there are people out there that feel this way.
"I love this song. It makes me think of those who strive towards a better world, but who are not known and die without recognition. Neal Peart is my favourite lyricist and if everyone listened to his words, the world would be a better place."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDJwu2rugG0

(I Just) Died In Your Arms Tonight by Cutting Crew.  I really like this song and I think that it is a great listen. Please, listen and let the music in your mind.

I Never Cry by Alice Cooper.  Wonderful song, wonderful man.  It breaks my heart sometimes to hear just how much went into music.  I realize how I will never be able to have the magnificent experience that the Great Musicians got to experience along side their fans.  Alice is always chasing rainbows.

Oh Come All Ye Faithful by Twisted Sister
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmEfFlbqbbY&ob=av2e

Steven Tyler in The Polar Express, Rockin' on top of the World and Santa Claus is Coming to Town by Bruce Springsteen (because Steven's song is thirty seconds).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Khpk9274gMg

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas by Bing Crosby.  I have, like Neil Diamond, listened to him as far back as I can remember.  There will be more than one of his songs in the upcoming days.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcZAwoip5aY

Little Drummer Boy by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.  I like this song and I like their version.  So... Here it is.  Tis the season, right?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5_gk-1OGXU

Last Christmas by Wham!  Courtesy of Erin!  Love this song and it is the beginning of the Christmas music this year!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8gmARGvPlI

I Am... I Said by Neil Diamond.  He has such a beautiful voice... I have, since I can remember, listened to him.  It was with my parents at first, and then they let me borrow a CD of his from them and I would listen to it all the time.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxDyXK93o6g

Imagine by John Lennon. You have Elizabeth to thank for this song being here.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-b7qaSxuZUg

Rats in the Cellar by Aerosmith.  One of my favourite albums by Bad Boys from Boston.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BneRbLKc0Q

Toxicity by System of a Down
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iywaBOMvYLI&ob=av2n

Mercedes Benz by Janis Joplin.  I love her and what she stood for.  Evidently I've been posting a lot of 1960's artists and bands lately.. Well it's own to do what I please with.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-GFqhCq2HA

The Sun by Chain Reaction.  This is a wonderful song by a 1960's band, Chain Reaction.  They were once called the Strangers, later changed to Strangeurs, and because a band had already recorded under that name, Chain Reaction was born.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLEdNHIviww

Cum on Feel the Noize by Quiet Riot.  I have always loved this song as far back as I can remember.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rmP93s8UDk

Time of the Season by The Zombies.  Great song, great band.  A wonderful example of the 1960's.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oc7b62El_fk

Ride of the Valkyries by Richard Wagner.  Great song, a classic, quite... epic.  By 'epic' I mean the actual definition, not how people are using it nowadays.  They use it too often, too casually.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V92OBNsQgxU

Unchained by Johnny Cash.  It is Browers favorite Johnny Cash song and I am learning how to play it.  Unfortunately, Brower is not going to my advisory teacher any more.  She got a 'better' job, whatever that is...  Well anyways, here it is!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Dqbv8a1Qtg

Howlin' for You by the Black Keys.  My friend and I would get all hyped up about the part that wasn't real words because we'd think we could be famous because we could sing like that bit.  He moved to Tennessee...  Which sucks.  Totally broke up our theoretical band.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7AP5MAhkoQ

Wires by Red Fang.  I met these guys at Mayhem fest and they were hilarious.  Really nice, totally chill, and just great.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQPfQvLIseA&ob=av2n

OK2BEGAY.   Or, Its ok 2 be Gay by Tomboy.  I love this video.  It leaves me speechless every time I watch it.  Which is twice so far.  It's hilarious.  Love the last bit at the end about how no strait people were harmed...  hah..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3j4t185wl-0

Immigrant song by Led Zeppelin.  I love this song.  I love Led Zeppelin.  I only have two LPs, Zeppelin II and Zeppelin IV, but I have more songs on my mp3 player (brand which will not be mentioned in this post).  I played a shortened version of Stairway to Heaven at my uncles memorial.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBmueYJ0VhA

Living in the Sunlight by Tiny Tim.  I don't know why but I have been listening to this song for about thirty minutes...  I think I have a problem.  I can't stop.  He's so... odd.  He's from the 1960's, though, so he's alright...  I guess...  not really..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCtQmwJ1WAY&NR=1

Listen to the Music by the Doobie Brothers.  It's a great song and it has a good feel to it.  It's just a happy song!  I have a vinyl of the Doobie Brothers, it's a greatest hits one.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29RvK7OI2Fg

Jack Sparrow by the Lonely Island ft. Michael Bolton.  I love Jack Sparrow (the character) and Johnny Depp.  I guess that's a given..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GI6CfKcMhjY

Brett You've Got It Going On from Flight of the Concords.  From 1:25 and on it is my favorite bit.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtfQg4KkR88

(It) Feels So Good by none other than Steven Tyler!  I love him.  Love.  Me.  I love him.  I also love this song.  It was originally called Oxygen and it was going to be on an Aerosmith album but it got rejected by the band (or someone like that..).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BM39ya_-XQM

With or Without You by U2.  I've known these guys most of my life and this is a great song.  I have nothing else to say.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmSdTa9kaiQ

The Middle by Jimmy Eat World.  This song used to be my ring tone, but then I got a different phone..  My sisters old phone, actually!  Well, anyways, I like this song.  The music video-wtf.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKsxPW6i3pM

I love the Rolling Stones.  I will tell you this time and time again.  Start Me Up by the Stones is the song of the day.  Love them like I do.  Right now.  I mean, come on, just look at them!  They look like they're having so much fun.  I love Keith Richards and Mic Jagger, but not in the same way that I love Steven Tyler.  Keith Richards has been awake enough in his life to have been awake for two lives.  If that makes sense.  I understand what it means, therefore you should be able to figure it out too.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CFYWEkQ8VM

Born and Raised in Black and White by the Highwaymen.  My grandma my cousin and I all went on a six day fishing trip in eastern Washington and she told me that she thought that I would really like this song.  That was weird, because she usually has no idea what sort of things I like.  Like music.  And Steven Tyler..  Anyways, she played this song at least twenty times.  That doesn't sound like a lot, but trust me, it is.  I did like it, though, and it was the first song that I thought of to put on here.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNBetR6Jaa0

Just listen to it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-NOZU2iPA8

Honky Tonk Women by the Rolling Stones.  This is my favorite song by them and I was learning how to play it a while ago.  I can't remember how to play it now, but it was great fun.  The Stones are my second favorite band.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Kve_N8rmmQ

Mia by Aerosmith.  It's on their album Night in the Ruts.  I bought it off of a guy selling them in a hair salon's parking lot on the day that it was closed.  It was like three dollars, and I would have gladly paid at least thrice that.  It is the last track on side B.  I fell in love with the song, but they don't sell it on iTunes.  And as for CDs, I always try buying those first, using iTunes as a last resort.  Most Aerosmith albums aren't sold in stores, and this was no exception.  The album came out in 1979, and it is an excellent album.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ia9tYnW1m9Q

Rhinnan by Fleetwood Mac.  Wonderful band, excellent song.  I was told that I have a low range (in singing) like Stevie Nicks.  Whether this is true or not will probably remain unknown; I am terrible at singing and I rarely do it.  I do have a lower voice, though..  Anyways, I loved how Stevie Nicks used to be.  Until she went nuts.  Aw, hell, who am I kidding?  I still love her.  Man, she was gorgeous..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tR_i0sKWKEA

Laid by James.  I had originally chosen the third version, not the second version, due to the fact that the third version omits the insanity.  The only difference is that he says "sings"  instead of.. well, I'm sure you'll figure that one out on your own if you look at the third version.  I found this song a little while back (not very long ago at all) and I just fell in love with it.  Very odd video.  Excellent band.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_qZ5B-yioU

Lump by the Presidents of the United States of America.  Great song.  My sister used to listen to the Presidents and I have been familiar with them for many years now.  When I got my first iPod back in like '06, there were a few of their albums on it.  This is actually my brother-in-law's favorite band.  He's seen them a few times live.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sj_U6vObUA

I Don't Wanna Fall in Love by She Wants Revenge.  My sister showed me a track on their first album (She Wants Revenge)  and I really liked the guy's voice.  Great song.  I ended up putting the entire album on my iPod, and just recently I put it on my new iPod.  Now, it's a little bit different, I'll admit, but just give it a chance, love.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTydrOP7SZw

There are two.  Again.  Sorry, I just love these songs so much.  The first one is Stay Hungry by Twisted Sister, and the second one is Hot Love.  Also by Twisted Sister.  I don't have a tattoo.... but if i did...  it would be the Twisted Sister logo!

Home Sweet Home by Mötley Crüe.  This is my all time favorite song.  I was saving this for a special occasion or something, but I can't wait any more.  I lost my iPod and I am mourning.  I absolutely love Tommy Lee.  He still looks great.  He looks like he was fun in all of their videos.  They all do.  Party, have a good time, hang out.  It just breaks my heart to see Vince Neil now.  It nearly brings me to tears.  I have known Mötley Crüe my entire life.  My dad would play them, along with the Rolling Stones, in his truck when it was just him and I.  My mom hates that type of music.  They are my third favorite band, behind Aerosmith and the Rolling Stones.  I can't help it.  Aerosmith is my favorite band.  I just love them.  I love Mötley Crüe too, and I will admit to knowing them much longer than Aerosmith.  I grew up with them.  They're fun, that's all there is to it.  So you know what?  Screw it.  Two song of the day songs.  Let me put a great emphasis on the first link, though.  It really means a lot to me.  Please, listen to the song.
 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbRfYDP5P28
aaaaand...  Same ol' Situation.  Same band.
 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXG0q0qesRw&feature=related
This one is just the "official" music video for Home Sweet Home.  The video is definitely flipped, like one of the comments said.  Nikki Sixx is not a southpaw.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WAZ60xA9wo&feature=related

Papa Gene's Blues by the Monkees.  I really like their show.  It's really corny, but it's great.  They would played this song on a few of the episodes and I really liked it.  Turns out I have this song on one of their albums.  I only have two of their LPs, but they have all of the songs by the Monkees that I know besides one.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkgAj0rtGZU

Freewill by Rush.  I first came accross Rush many years ago.  I never really knew them up until a year or two ago, though.  I made a mixed CD of them and one day I was listening to it and I really liked the second song on the CD.  Freewill was like one of the last songs, and I usually never had the patience (or time span, I should say) to listen to the whole CD.  It was like 80 minutes.  Anyways, I love Rush.  Even if you don't, please, for my sake, listen to this song.  Give them one more chance.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnxkfLe4G74

Wait by White Lion.  I first discovered this song while watching VH1 Classic.  It was on a commercial for Monster Ballads (a bunch of CDs with power ballads from the 80's bands) and I liked the three seconds that they showed.  It's a song that isn't all scream-y and yell-y.  Sad lyrics but excellent, nonetheless.  Typical 80's video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrPJgnOXjy8

Take Me Back by Cinderella.  I first found this song while listening to their Long Cold Winter tape.  By tape I mean a cassette.  I really liked a different song on that tape (I will not reveal the title, because it might be a song of the day in the future) but then I got the songs onto my iPod and I really liked this song.  They are a great band, and I wish they were more well known.  Like Metallica, or Slayer, or Anthrax.  They're just a really good band that isn't as well known.  Listen to it.  Love it.  Share it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOB4vJDewd4

Here Comes the Rain Again by the Eurythmics.  I, like many others, loved their song Sweet Dreams.  I was listening reading up on them and I saw this track title.  It is a classic, and I am ashamed to never have heard it before this year.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzFnYcIqj6I
p.s. If you have time, watch the music video.  It makes you think "wtf."  It's good, don't get me wrong.

Mr. Brownstone by Guns 'n' Roses!
My dad bought me the LP Appetite for Destrustion quite a few months ago, and it is one of my favorite records.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVYDnQwi3OQ

The song of the day is..
I Never Cry by Alice Cooper.  It was on their 1976 album, Alice Cooper Goes to Hell.  I was listening to my 33 of it and I stumbled uppon that song, and I loved it.  Excellent song.  I bought that LP when I bought a KISS and Foreigner record.  Man, I love Alice Cooper..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbGM3zGb918&feature=related

The song of the day is..
Sedona Sunrise by Aerosmith.  It was first written (but not finished) during their album Pump. It was later finished and put on the album Devil's Got a New Disguise.  Written originally by Joe Perry and helped finished by Steven Tyler.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVlgvdCyC_Y

The song of the day is...
Once Bitten Twice Shy by Great White.  Listen to it.  It mentions a Les Paul, which happens to be the guitar that I want.  It will cost me thousands of dollars.  A starting price of $5,000.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09GwdMw0Kfk

The song of the day iiiis...
Bang a Gong by T. Rex.   It was originally titled Get It On, but was changed to Bang a Gong (Get It On).  It came out on their 1971 album, Electric Warrior.  All in all one of my favorite songs of all time.

Bandanas

Bandanas.  Lets face it.  They have become a part of our culture in these past few (okay so like way more than a few..) years.  The problem is this: this school will not allow them to be worn.  I, however, have decided to wear them anyways.  There has only been one teacher that has said anything about this.  The funny thing is that the teacher that spoke against it to me was a teacher that allows hats and iPods to be worn in class.  Even the strictest teacher allowed my wearing of a bandana to occur.  Odd, really.  According to an unnamed teacher, this rule is ludacris, because we don't have gang problems.  She told me that when she sees me, she thinks rocker from the 70's, not a cold-blooded Crip.
UPDATE:  so far there have been three complaints against me.

Room

http://www.butiamletired.com/

I broke another bracket on my braces.  My mom is going to be furious.  I'll just pretend that I didn't know.  Excellent plan.  I want to do something productive over spring break, but I haven't the foggiest idea as to what I should do.  I have (somewhat) cleaned my room and organized my records.  I even counted them.  I have 127 LPs and six 45's.  How about a tour of my room?  Since I can't actually have everyone here, these pictures must suffice.

This is my door.  I took this picture March 26th.

Probably my favorite wall.  It has three of my guitars and my Aerosmith poster.

I really like scarves...

I'm going to be replacing that radio poster with an Alice Cooper poster eventually.
There is a framed picture of Steven Tyler and Joe Perry; it's under the bear picture.

My record player.  I love it so much.

Shelves!  Notice the framed picture of Steven Tyler...

My records.  There are CDs and tapes in the left crate with my records.  The very front LP in the right crate is Zeppelin IV.  For the longest time it was the only record that I played.  On the left, the very front record is a Steve Miller Band record.  Fly Like an Eagle.  I haven't listened to it recently.  My favorite record is my German copy of The Rolling Stones No. 2.  It's from 1964.  It's a great album.  It has a lot of songs that nobody knows what I'm talking about when we talk about the Stones.  You should deffinately check it out.  They do a cover of 'Under the Boardwalk.'  Excellent song.  Side two is my favorite side, and all of the songs are awesome.

Well I hope you enjoyed the tour of my room.

Robot Unicorn Attack

Sooner or later I was going to write about this.  Everyone saw it coming.  I have a rival, much like Ash vs. Gary, and my goal is to always be one step ahead of him.  Not really.  My goal is to have more points than him, which I currently do not.  I am 2,098 points away from kicking his ass.  I have 91,152 points and he has 94,050 points.  Robot Unicorn Attack is the best game that [adult swim] has come out with.  Some things that I do to try to help myself out include, but are not limmited to: listening to Alice Cooper, take off rings, think about other things, be a bit distracted, but not too distracted; that is a fatal error.  Right now I'm listening to Feed My Frankestein.  Awesome song.  Gotta love Alice Cooper.  I have a headache, though.  It's beein goin on for a few days.  I don't suppose developing a regular sleeping pattern would help, now would it...  Ah, and an other thing that I love playing is Pokemon.  I currently have 12 games, as all of you should know.  I haven't really talked about that much, have I?  I love Pokemon.  Flat out.

UPDATE:  I scored 97,434.  I win.

So Many Links In This Post

I miss my old guitar.  I love my new guitar.  I have a problem.  How about I tell you exactly how I got my new guitar.  I got it December 23, 2010.  My guitar teacher is in a band, and the lead singer had a guitar that he didn't really play that often. This one.  He was going to sell it, so he put it up on craigslist.  He even got an offer on it.  He prayed about it and he really felt that he needed to ask my guitar teacher what to do with it.  My guitar teacher told him that he knew just the student for it.  That student turned out to be me.  There was another student of his whose parents couldn't afford anything for Christmas that year; no tree, no decent presents, etc.  What we did was John gave me the Godin LG and I gave that student my guitar.  My guitar wasn't as nice as the new one, but it was still way  nicer than his guitar.  I had a sticker on my guitar.  I had just recently put it on my guitar, too.  I can't find any more like it, sadly.  It came with my Guitar Hero Aerosmith.  The stickers look like this.  If anyone out there can find them, would you please let me know?  The sticker on my guitar was the bottom logo of the picture in this link:  http://newine.files.wordpress.com/2010/04/2x-aerosmith-logos.jpg

So if anyone can find a sticker of the bat wing logo, would you please please please let me know?  Anyways, I like.. bonded with that guitar, I loved it so much.  I love my new guitar, too, but I still miss the Fender body and light-weight structure of my old guitar.
